Bay Area Brand Photographer - Photo shoot with Coach Leah Morris

Working with coaches is one of my favorite things. I love how coaches connect deeply to their clients to help them become their best selves.

In this brand photo shoot I worked with Leah Morris who is a relationship transition coach. She was looking to update images for her website, launches and email list.

I took her through my process of finding out what emotions and/or words fit her brand. She came back to me with - Resilience, Peace, Clarity, Confidence and Inner Strength.

I designed a shoot for her to reflect those feelings. I thought about what colors, locations, and lighting would evoke those feelings.

Here’s what we came up with.

From Leah about her experience with me -

“You and I have worked together on many projects. First of all I love being around you. Even if it’s just grabbing ramen.

Seeing you evolve as a photographer over the years has been so inspiring.

But when it came to our most recent photoshoot with you. I just feel like you asked the right questions. Questions that I probably wasn't going to ask myself.

For example, ‘How would you describe how it is that you make people feel.’

I had to really sit with that.

What are the colors you think of when you think of those feelings?

What are some phrases you want to evoke?

I wanted the photoshoot to really be something that deeply reflected those nuanced parts of my personality.

I’m selling people a relationship with me.

They need to feel what it’s like to be in that coaching relationship.

And to capture that in an image is so important.

That’s why I went with you.

You knew what I didn’t know, that I needed.”

If you’re a coach, a creative, an artist looking to show up as the real you. To evoke emotions in your images - I’m here for you.
